“Slabs around Aus is the first instalment of a 5 part series filmed at some of Australia’s slabs on days that were some of my all time favorite sessions. This section features a few waves from each section as well as a short teaser for each at the end. The following sections to come are Remote desert slab, Deadmans mega swell, Luna park over the years and a NSW section.”

“Anyone who knows me knows that these days I’m not on the board too often and spend most of my spare time doing missions in the Mountains both on foot, in the fourby and fly fishing chasing trout to scenic locations in the Aussie bush. That is of course unless there are some big pits to be had at a few select locations and if that’s the case everything else gets put on the backburner and its time to dust the fins off and see if I can remember how ride this 41 inch piece of foam!”

“Other than 2023 the last few years have been unreal wave wise for me. Even though I can probably count the amount of sessions each year on one hand (quality over quantity I say) each of those sessions has been something pretty special and in particular a local wave that at times can lay dormant for up to 10 years before having a swell big enough to allow it to break properly. I was lucky enough to have a session there in solid conditions each year for 3 years in a row in which I had the biggest waves of my life as well as the worst wipeouts and after not surfing for up to 6 months at time there’s not better way to dust off the cobwebs like scorpioning into a 15 footer on your first wave haha.”

“With the clips stacking up on the hard drive whilst it sat there collecting dust I thought it was time to have my first attempt at making some bodyboarding edits and throw something together. Yes the titles are amateurish, yes the editing is dodgy, yes some of the footage may not be 4k but I’m not too fussed. At the end of the day I feel like people just want to see me get smoked anyway regardless of what camera its filmed on and there’s no shortage of that throughout the series.”
